Details	This is the second commemorative 2 euro coin of the Maltese series "Children and Solidarity" that started in 2016 and will run until 2020. The theme of this coin is "Peace" and as with every coin in the series the design was selected from a competition among high school students in Malta. The program intends to affirm the social role of children and young people from five different angles. The design depicts two children holding the flag of Malta, one on each side, and a dove as a symbol of peace appears above them, and below the word "MALTA 2017". On the outer edge of the 12-star five-point representative of the European Union.
